Saying Yes

Order / purchase process

You will have been ‘trying on’ gowns and have now narrowed down your selection to ‘the one’.

The gowns you have been trying on are ‘sample’ dresses - these are owned by us - the shop. We update these dresses throughout the year with new collections.

From these samples you will decide one which one you will like to order ‘from’.

We will take your measurements and order your gown based on what you liked from the sample tried on.

Or you may have found one of our lovely sample gowns!

When do I shop?

The very best time to order is around the full 12 month mark - this is from the day you order to the day you marry.

But most of all please only start shopping when you’re ready to fully commit to a dress! It’s a waste of time for everyone if you have no intention of ordering for a while - dresses change / collections change / discontinuations happen.

So when you’re ready - at the perfect time..

You’re full shopping experience need not take you over a couple of weeks at most and in many instances a lot of brides choose on the first shop.

But…. We say the best time is when you’re ready to say yes. Delivery times are now longer than they have been previously (presently up to 8 months).

So take this into account, as well as a further 10 weeks for fittings.

Please note: For rush weddings we can do rush orders for an additional fee

On the other end of the scale, this does not mean you need to shop for a wedding that is 2.5 years away - that, in our opinion is too far in advance!

The only circumstances that shopping this far in advance is; Budgeting. Sample Sale Or unless you have seen a specific dress you definitely want and don’t want to lose it incase of discontinuation.

12months:- This allows plenty of time for any alterations, slight delays and wiggle room. Any sooner is fine but if you go over 18months longer then you’re going into the danger zone of ordering too soon that you may fall out of love with your dress if you have too long to think about her.

So, now you’re ready

So you’ve found the ‘one’ & you’re about to order your wedding dress!

It can be daunting - but once you’ve said yes - it will be a little bit of a relief! As that’s one of the main things ticked off your list! - We can also offer a payment plan, see below.

So how long will it take? …. the paper work bit?
If you have chosen one of our gorgeous sample gowns (off the rack) we will run through some paperwork… the dreaded money bit and then you will be able to take her away! Yes it’s that simple!

If you have opted for a made to order gown there’s a little more involved - we will take your measurements - together we will decide what size to choose and then run through our paperwork. You will take away a beautiful bridal folder with all of your important documents within.

You’ll have lots of info in your bridal folder which will help answer most of your questions - and anything else - thats what we are here for!

We always ask you to read BEFORE you part with any money.

Payment forms accepted ….

We accept all major credit & debit cards at The Bridal Room. (Sorry no Amex)

We can take Bacs payments. We also accept cash.

~That’s the boring bit - then you get your Goodie Bag!

Payment Plans

If you are placing an order for a made to order gown - we can offer you a payment plan to help spread the cost of your dress which we know can be a major factor of you wedding budget.

This is all time dependant and how long away your wedding date is too. However if feasible, we can work out a plan to help you budget for the dress of your dreams.
